Rita Ximenes

Rita Ximenes is a visual artist and art educator, environmental advocate, and creator of unique art using ancient techniques inspired by the Pantanal.  She has been working in the Mato Grosso art market for over three decades. Born in Mato Grosso do Sul (Glória de Dourados), she moved to  Mato Grosso  as a child and since then he has always had artistic expression as part of his daily life. 

She graduated in art education with a specialization in fine arts. She is an art educator active in schools and on artistic and social projects. As an artist and in her works, she celebrates the environmental protection of Mato Grosso's flora and fauna.

In his ingenious artistic production, the works are  manually  produced  with the ancestral techniques of Batik, Block print, and Rapport. Various textures come together in her contemporary fashion and print work,  the artist stylizes and creates reinterpretations of the noble fish of our region.

From his brushes come “cushions, lampshades, bathrobes, clothes.”
