Maria Salette

Born in Taió, SC, Maria Salette has a degree in Arts from FURB and a postgraduate degree in Art Education from UDESC. In her artistic career, she has held approximately 50 solo exhibitions and 150 group shows in cities in Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. In addition to the exhibitions, she has participated in 17 Art Salons, of which she received awards at the IV AAPP Art Salon , Rio de Janeiro; V AAPP Art Salon, Rio de Janeiro; IV Armando Viana Art Salon, Rio de Janeiro; V Armando Viana Salon , Rio de Janeiro; Semana Carioca de Artes , Rio de Janeiro; VIII CAERJ Art Salon , Rio de Janeiro ; I Expo Arte ABANERJ , Rio de Janeiro; II Elke Hering Salon , Blumenau. He also participated in cultural projects, such as painting a billboard to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Santa Catarina Art Museum, in the MASC paints its history project, as well as the Cowparede SC project, in 2011.

His paintings are in private collections and institutionalized collections in Brazil and abroad. Part of his career and some of his works are also found in books and catalogs published throughout the country, among them: Indicator of the Visual Arts of Santa Catarina (1988; 2001).
