Marcos Pagani

Marcos Pagani , an artist from Paraná, currently living in Curitiba, Paraná, holds a degree in Visual Art and Sculpture from Emerson College in England, with a concentration in Sculpture Therapy . He spent an extended period in Europe, working as a visual artist in Geneva, Switzerland, Larvik , Norway, and the Vallée du Rone in France. He held several solo and group exhibitions in those countries. Upon returning to Brazil, his work focused on sculpting granite and basalt in the Gamboa region of Santa Catarina. Later, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, he offered sculpture courses in his studio in Campeche. Upon returning to Paraná, he settled on a rural property in Campo Magro, where, as an agricultural engineer, he also cultivated certified organic vegetables. His emphasis was on sculpting wood from that region.

He currently dedicates himself to therapeutic sculpture in the Psychosocial Assistance Network; to creative writing; and to the production of works that arise from his research on contemporary themes, with an emphasis on the "Art of the Sacred." He is a ceramist, sculptor, painter, artistic photographer, and writer. He uses artistic photography as a tool to breathe new life into the numerous collections of photographs of his works, including others originating from compositions, which he exhibited at the Museum of Photography of the City of Curitiba.

He believes that beauty is a value in itself. That it is accessible to everyone, is selfless, and is free. He likes to reaffirm Dostoevsky's phrase, "Beauty will save the world," and Saint Francis, who said, "to see the Most Beautiful in the beauty of creatures."
