Emerson Oliveira

Emerson Oliveira, a visual artist from Rio de Janeiro, has lived and worked in Curitiba for over 30 years. For Emerson, nature, divinely created, is his inspiration. The sky, the clouds, the nuances of color, the composition, and the desire to go beyond the image, to a higher world, motivate him to paint, compose, and structure ideas into images that are simultaneously simple and complex. He has been drawing since childhood, developing techniques, textures, planes, volumes, vanishing points, and aerial perspectives.

He seeks chromatic combinations, grounded in the color blue, creating an expression of what he feels and seeks. Sophisticated yet simple and clear images, with significant meaning, compose his world. Artistic expression emphasizes air, breathing, and liberation from the constraints of everyday life. He seeks to disconnect, grounded, and connect with something greater, rational, and pure, bringing awareness to the brevity of life, so we can make a difference here.

The oil painting technique is the medium through which one expresses oneself and communicates with the world. It is where one sees, reflects, is inspired, and desires to inspire others to seek peace in Christ, to give greater meaning to our existence, so fleeting, ephemeral, and fleeting. The images created seek to bring a moment of reflection, of calm, of relief from modern, fast-paced, anxious life. In a moment of immersion, surrealism, fantasy art,
the mixture of reality and imagination, brings to light your path, your expression.
