Cybele Meller Fatuch
Born in Maringá, she has lived in Curitiba for over 40 years. She graduated in Dentistry from UFPR and in Sculpture from EMBAP/UNESPAR, developing her interest in three-dimensional molding and modeling. Her skills in working with molds, alginate, plaster, wires and acrylic resin, materials commonly used by orthodontists, led her to develop ceramic pieces, such as Canadian porcelain. Some of her recent exhibitions show her concern with the material in fluid and sensitive forms, such as “Nymphs, survival of images” (2019) at the Curitiba Convention Center, PR. The artist brings to the exhibition a wealth of colors, a plurality of materials and displays techniques on porcelain and traditional ceramics representing the beautiful flora of Curitiba and its personal significance.
