Ara Vilela
Ara Vilela was born in 1967 in the city of Mineiros - Goiás and has lived in Curitiba - PR since 1985. She has a postgraduate degree in Physical Education from PUC - PR and Visual Arts since 2003.
The presence of beauty and creation were always very present in her life, as she grew up watching her mother transform pieces of fabric into beautiful, exclusive clothes. This made her develop a particular taste for that which is unique.
Ara first came into contact with painting in 2003 and over the years created numerous figurative works. In 2018, she received great encouragement from her husband and two children to become a professional painter and dedicate herself fully to her career as a painter. At that time, the artist redirected her studies and research to abstractionism and from that moment on, abstract became her style.
The artist uses mixed techniques, consisting of acrylic paints, thinners, natural and synthetic textures and the collage of gold, silver and bronze leaves, thus being able to abstract her inspirations in a strong way, leading the viewer to a deep reflection.
In recent years, the artist has participated in a considerable number of national and international exhibitions, magazines and platforms, artist collectives, courses and the opening of new fronts in the visual arts.
In 2023 Ara participated in two exhibitions in Europe, one in Triesen, at Casa Brasil in Liechtenstein and another in Florence at It Mondo and a fair in the USA, Red Dot Miami with It Mondo.
The artist's projects continue exponentially.
